Thanksgiving

Hello everyone,
It was fun to hear about everyone's thanksgiving. Wish we could have been there. Sounds like everyone had plenty to eat :) yum, yum. We had a nice party here at my house. We had Anthony and Coquina over (Dave's good friend), Anthony's family (his parents are missionaries here and his mom works with Dave), and several single friends who don't have any family here. So we all just got together and ate and had a great time. I ordered the whole dinner from our school. The school has this special thing every thanksgiving where you can place your order and have the school chef cook everything, so we got the turkey (which was AWESOME), potatoes, dressing, veggies, pies, etc. The works. Dave and I hopped on his scooter Thursday morning, zipped up to the school and I got in a cab with our FEAST and came home, heated it up and we all stuffed ourselves. You may all think that it's a bit of a cop-out to order the food for Thanksgiving, but trust me it's really a favor to everyone who was eating here. The ONLY thing I was going to make for the dinner was a recipe for EASY dinner rolls that Mom sent me. Notice the emphasis on EASY in the title. Well, of course I messed them up so we had to do without the rolls. Geez, the one thing I had to make and I had to mess it up. Oh well. After eating we played outside (it was a gorgeous day) Dave and Anthony hooked a rope up in the huge tree in our yard and took turns swinging the kids and jumping out of the tree swinging on a harness that they hooked up to the rope. Then we all hiked up to the park and played basketball while Max kicked his soccer ball around. Dave had the rest of the weekend off, so the next day we took a scooter ride out to the coast and hiked around on the beach. It was beautiful. Then we drove to Jeelung Harbor and picked out some fresh shrimp and fish and the guy cooked them up with garlic and ginger and lots of MSG (maybe not the healthiest stuff but man does it make your food taste good). So, not the most typical Thanksgiving that I've ever had, but we had a good time. Miss you all!
XOXO
